John Abraham Takes On Maharashtra Government: "You Are Cutting Down 33 Hectares Of Land In Aarey. It's Ridiculous"
John Abraham is not happy with the Maharashtra government. Recently, during the trailer launch of Batla House, the actor slammed the Government and called it ridiculous. He talks about some important points regarding his concerns on water crisis, Mumbai Rains, Aarey colony. He also called out on government's decision to cut down 33 hectares of green carpet for the development of the Metro 3 car shed in Mumbai.

During the event, he said, "In this situation, when Maharashtra Government has decided to cut down 33 hectares of greenery at Arey Milk Colony, it makes me wonder if we are heading towards the right direction. I am opposed to the coastal road and 33 hectares of land being cut!" "It is ridiculous to see how they are displacing animals, trees as well as people living in these areas for metro rail,"

John Abraham's Batla House clashes with Akshay Kumar's Mission Mangal on Independence Day 2019, setting up a box-office tussle between the two stars who have particularly cashed in on the patriotism genre in Bollywood.

Batla House is a real story based on Operation Batla House that was executed in 2008 in New Delhi. IT had garnered a lot of criticism from the politicians and activists back then calling it a fake encounter.
